Energy Reduction Specialists of NC is keenly aware of the seriousness of the COVID-19 outbreak and we know that it is a rapidly changing situation for our community and our country. We want our customers to know what precautions we are taking.

Our work has always involved improving the safety and health of the homes we work on and it has always involved protecting the health and safety of our staff as well. This outbreak requires more extensive steps from ERS of NC.

Here is what we are doing:

  • Each staff member will have their temperatures taken every morning and recorded before beginning work to ensure we are not showing signs of a fever. We are a small staff and if one of us shows signs of the virus (fever, dry cough, difficulty breathing, flu-like aches) we will ALL self-quarantine appropriately.
  • We will sanitize our tools, vehicles, respirators, and surfaces we touch with approved disinfectants. We will wash our hands with soap and water regularly. We have always used protective suits, gloves, respirators, and personal protective equipment, but will increase our usage of these protective items. Similarly, we will also increase our daily job site cleaning to include sanitizing surfaces in the home we have been in contact with.
  • We will constantly monitor the CDC website and local guidelines and ensure our staff are updated daily.
  • We will not be bashful about asking our customers if they have had any symptoms before working in their home. For the sake of our staff and all future customers we will postpone working in anyone's home who has any indication of a possible illness.
  • We will not be offended if a customer asks us to postpone work on their home. We will not elevate our schedule or our business above the health of our customers and staff.

Our business has always depended on the trust and confidence of our customers that we will take the very best care of their home and their investment. Likewise, our business has depended on the thoroughness and quality of the work of our excellent staff. The same conscientiousness and honesty that ERS of NC has always followed will continue to protect the health and safety of our customers as well as our staff and families.

Gary Silverstein, Paul Swenson, and Tracey Dennis

The assessment in February, 2012, was accomplished seamlessly. When it came time to complete the work, Gary and his men were on time, ready to work, diligent, and tireless in applying their expertise, skill, and capabilities... The men who pumped in the insulation and laid the vapor barrier in the crawl space were in and out and cleaned up after themselves. The configuration concocted to enclose my drafty attic access was accomplished with great precision, down to an eighth of an inch....
